‘The internet was once a fun place to watch cat videos’: 22 Funny Cat Videos To Reconnect With The Internet’s True Purpose

The internet's original cult

We should create a social media platform that only allows funny cat videos and cat memes to be posted. Everyone could have their kitty avatar, and we would dedicate our time and eyes to watching sweet, endearing cat videos that would lighten our mood.

To me, that's the only path to a greater society, and maybe that's what the Ancient Egyptians were all about in the end. We should follow the steps of that great empire and limit ourselves to watching and commenting on cat posts.

I've selected a number of random memes all related to cats; some are wholesome, some are relatable. Some are about going through a rough week (I know it just started, but still), and some are about learning to let go (yes, it goes that deep). They go as deep and as varied as only cats can go.

I would like to know whether there is a direct correlation between loving the internet and being a cat person. It could be that cat people like to spend more time indoors and less time running outside; or it could be that it's just a coincidence.

Either way, here we are, and we're looking to reconnect with what the internet is supposed to be all about: funny cat memes. So here you go.
